Marlene R. Moster, MD Mark K. Moster, MD
Marlene Moster, MD has been an attending glaucoma surgeon at Wills Eye Hospital and a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Sydney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and she is currently practicing at South Florida Eye Health, Miami, Florida. Her research interests include advancements in pharmacologic treatments for glaucoma and surgical procedures aimed at reducing risks and improving outcomes, with a particular focus on newer devices.
She is dedicated to teaching and has trained hundreds of residents and 118 clinical glaucoma fellows. She has served on the Glaucoma Clinical Committee for ASCRS and the board of the American Glaucoma Society.
She was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Additionally, she has been invited to lecture both nationally and internationally on the surgical and medical treatment of glaucoma.
Mark L. Moster, MD is a former Attending in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Wills Eye, Professor of Neurology and Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University and currently seeing patients part-time in Florida. Past roles include Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship director at Wills, Senior Associate Chairman of Neurology at Temple University, Chairman of Neurosensory Sciences at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, President of the Philadelphia Neurology Society and Senior Vice President of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS). He is currently the treasurer of NANOS.
After graduating from SUNY Upstate, he completed Neurology Residency at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital.
He has been named Top Doctor many times in Philadelphia Magazine and in Best Doctors in America and has received the Senior Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Moster has authored over 150 articles and book chapters. He serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology and as an Editor of the Literature Commentary Section. He has participated in clinical research in Neuro-Ophthalmology and has received NIH support for studying CNS control of saccadic eye movements. Most recent clinical research has been on gene therapy for Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy.
